Professional Courier Services
GRVC purchased Professional Courier Services in May 2021. The business has been a staple in the Grand Rapids community for over forty years. GR Venture Capital saw the opportunity to own a strong local business that is in growing market of last-mile and expedited delivery. The GRVC team will focus on implementing new technology, modern sales and marketing, and growing the fleet with electric vehicles and larger straight trucks.
Vitaleone
Vitaleone was created in 2020 when Jonny Vitale (of the Vitale restaurants) moved to Sicily with his new wife, who is a native of Italy. Her family has owned and operated an olive grove for over 70 years and Jonny saw the opportunity to import the amazing Italian food products to America. GRVC invested in the business in October of 2020 with the goal to provide capital and strategic oversight on the business. Vitaleone's first harvest is here and will be hitting the shelves throughout 2021.
Mobile Defenders (SOLD)
Mobile Defenders was formed in 2013 as a way to service our team's retail repair stores with parts, tools and accessories. Soon it grew to the largest wholesaler in the industry, took on an investor (the largest retail franchise in the space) and is expanding to Europe this year.
Tech Defenders
Tech Defenders was born by identifying a need that schools were adopting technology at a very fast rate. The company is a leading IT Asset Disposition company focused on buying, fixing, refurbishing technology out of K12 and Enterprise, while remarking it globally to ensure sustainable reuse.
Podsix
Podsix is a local web development firm that was created as a sister company to Mobile Defenders and Tech Defenders. Ownership quickly saw the opportunity to provide custom development services to the Midwest, at Midwest pricing. The software development team focuses on providing an array of industries with eCommerce, ERP, integration and full-stack development services.
